found my money

about a year ago I misplaced 440.00 I kept it in a box in an envelope . when I went to look for it was gone. that was about abyear ago. I thought I looked in every enevelope  but to my surprise I found it yesterday. now will just keep in a sock maybe buy something or pay a bill. nice surprise that was.

That must have been a wonderful feeling to find what you thought was gone.  I feel that way when I find something missing even if it was insignificant like an earring.  So good job in making such a nice find!

Yeah, I had that happen to me before as well. I had my money (I think around 100$) saved in a CD Case (no longer what I do), and my father and brother-in law moved it from its location when they were cleaning. I thought I lost it till recently, and promptly put it with my other cash to put in the bank (which I also spent).

Nice find!  I keep loose change in a certain location, but don't have it counted.  Sometimes I toss in a bill or two also.  When it gets full, I'll total it up.  Kind of fun to see just how much a few coins here and there can add up to.  (Kind of like Fusion Cash, pennies add up!)

Do you just not use banks? My aunt never did, she would go buy money orders to pay all her bills, and kept change in coffee cans, she was always losing money

That's so good that you found your money. I noticed that you didn't have putting the money in the bank as an option for how you could not lose this money again. There are accounts out there that have very low minimums and few requirements to avoid a monthly fee. Maybe that could be a more secure way to keep track of your money.
