Words Not Allowed on the Radio

I remember in a movie called Inherit the Wind, it was said that one was not supposed to say “God” or “hell” on the radio. I think that only applied in the earliest era of radio programming. Which words are not allowed on the radio nowadays?

Curse words and any word talking about sex.

I have never heard this.  I don't know of anything not allowed other than profanity.
