Anniversary

42 years ago today we touched down in Chicago to start our journey.  I became a US citizen in 1983 and I am proud to have came here legal.

Congratulations!  It takes time to get all of the documentation together for citizenship.  I wish the very best for you.

A family member on my husband's side finally became a US citizen.  It took about 25 years.  I suppose there are many factors that contribute to how long it takes ( if it happens at all ) before one becomes a citizen.
