Zolo dog

My son just got us a zolo dog with hair. It's a Mexican breed....does anyone know about these dogs?

Never heard of it so I googled it.  Xoloitzcuntli or xolo for short is a Mexican hairless.

Yes that's it only for me its easier to say Zolo LOL...awww thank you. this one has hair though...I am a bit nervous having a dog again UGH

I've heard of a Mexican Hairless but never a Zolo!  That had me confused.  However, you say your dog has hair, so it isn't hairless! Hummm!  Is it like a little Chihuahua type dog?  I hear you about having a dog again, especially if you got a puppy.  They can be a lot of work.

Hi Janice, my sons friend breeds Zolo dogs and the Mom had 5 puppies, all hairless but the 1 we are getting. We cant get her till late August. Tomorrow she will be a month old. This will be my 8th dog in my life time, the woman has ours half paper trained. Oh yes I know how hard it can be but my BF has had dogs and knows how to train them good so I will leave the hard part up to him

I do not want a hairless cat or dog. lol  A lady I use to know had a hairless something.  If I am gonna pet something I prefer it have fur.  Except for cows.

This is an expensive dog!   The price of this dog is about $600 – $800. And it's Xolo not Zolo.

The Xolo also comes in a coated variety and coated and hairless can be born in the same litter.

If you want to get technical it is called Xoloitzcuintli, I say "zolo" because it is easier for me and yes this dog IS very expensive, ours is coated...I dont care to much for the hairless. We cant wait to get her, she is a month old today !!

Well, I was gonna say that but figured it would start a war. lol.  The hairless one I saw was the ugliest thing I have ever seen.  Kind of down right creepy looking.  Some people really like them.

I like the ones with really short hair.  Not fond of the ones with the long gets all tangled up hair. haha
