5, 6. What happens to us when we die?

5 Jehovah knows what happens to us when we die, and he has told us that when a person dies, his life ends. Death is the opposite of life. So when someone dies, his feelings and memories do not keep on living somewhere else. * When we die we can’t see, we can’t hear, and we can’t think anymore.

6 King Solomon wrote that “the dead know nothing at all.” The dead cannot love or hate, and “there is no work nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom in the Grave.” (Read Ecclesiastes 9:5, 6, 10.) And at Psalm 146:4, the Bible tells us that when someone dies, “his thoughts” die

And this also goes to babies that are aborted. They dont go to heaven. If that were the case abortions would be good.

I don't believe in them but the real worry is there are scammers trying to rob desperate people grieving love ones who have passed.

There was a time I would have said no on  that and psychics but I more believe than not now.  If I am wrong and it is against God then he will just have to forgive me. But I have watched some tv shows and I don't think all psychics can be "cold reading" or whatever they call it.

Well if you have never even heard of it, how can you say you dont believe in it?

God doesn't like ugliness. It can come in different forms.  Don't mess with something you know nothing about.  As there is a God, there is Satan.

I think I might have heard of EVP, but to be honest would stay far away from it because I've heard that having contact with the dead is not actually like a deceased person but an evil spirit pretending to be the deceased and try to harm you. I think a person would be set up for a possible curse or something if they tried this and especially on a regular basis. I don't get a good feeling about some youtube videos concerning spirituality since they seem somewhat "off" to me.

I believe you are dealing with Satan.  I have a cousin who believes she talks with angels.  She may be but it isn't God's angels she is conversing with.  Satan has his own band of angels on the prowl.
Have a wonderful day!

I see you have started yet another new account.

Saying if I am wrong and it is against God then he will just have to forgive me is very sacrilegious.  The Bible plainly says it is wrong.

Not really but when I was in my late teens, mom and I went to a psychic. Man, was she ever right! Don't know how she did it because she never had any info beforehand. All she had was our first name. She told me I would be married twice (I was engaged to my soul mate) and I would have one child and it would be a boy. The one child and a boy was right, too as was my second marriage. My soulmate had broken up and we met a couple years later and got back together. In between I married someone else and had the boy child. Anyway, mom was missing an umbrella and couldn't remember where she putit. This psychic told her and she was right. There were so many things she was right about that we went to her every 8 months until he died.

When hubby's mother died and we moved into the house he built, for 2 weeks I smelled Patchoulli and would see a shadow walk from the kitchen into the hallway leading to the bedroom, then at Christmas Eve gathering in the garage, Mickey and I were telling stories about her (she died Christmas Eve in '81, this was around '98). We were all sitting in a circle (kids, wives, and us two). I guess there was One story about her she didn't like because she turned the lights off!  No kidding! No one was near the light switch. It was 10 feet away. So I said we better talk about something else because a certain someone got mad. That was the last time she was around.

Seriously, these were true happenings.

I believe I saw a movie on this very thing... I think it was called Frequency.  I don't recall exactly what it was about but they were contacting someone dead or in the past over radio waves.
