I heard just a blurb about this on the news, how crazy!! I don't really know baseball or who he is but I hope he recovers quickly. Do they know why they shot him?

I have to admit I had no idea who this person is but after searching found he is a Red Sox Legend nicknamed Big Papa.  But yes it is totally sad not because who he is but because the state of this country and so much violence being perpetuated against each other. Prayers for his recovery.

Big Papi ...  I was just reading that he was shot by the husband of the girl he was having an affair with.

He was shot in the Dominican Republic & was flown back to the USA for surgery via the team's personal jet... but yeah, the state of this country & every other country... and the state of the human race in general.

It isn't just violence like this.  People are so full of hate.  I saw a thing somewhere last night where supposedly a guy was flirting with a girl who supposedly was around 17.  He did not touch her and didn't say anything really sexual just flirting.  He should not have done it but that is beside the point.  IT happened on an airplane and when the guy was asked by staff to move to a different seat he got mouthy so they threaten to land the plane.

So when the plane IS landed at it's destination point the police are there and arrest him for disorderly conduct.  A woman who has witnessed this all whips out her cell phone and starts videoing.  She posts online that she had found out the guys name and where he works and was sending the video to his boss in hopes that he was fired from his job.  (Which was in another state from where she lived or where they currently were) 

Crap like that is no different.  People are so bent on trying to ruin somebody else's life.  In particular lately with trying to get people fired from their job. Or "shaming" them and wanting the whole country/world to join in on bullying them online.  Follow them around and harass them.  I just don't get this behavior at all.
