Why can't you sit still?

Are you the type that needs to always have something to do?  Can you not sit still for five minutes?  Why is that?

Yes I am one to not sit still very long unless I am really tired or not feeling well. My reason is because I always have so much to do that it bothers me if I am doing nothing when I could be accomplishing something!!!

It is hard for me to sit still and do nothing, I always have little things sitting by my chair to complete.

Some call it "Hyperactivity". Yes! I am one of those who cannot sit still because I always have something to do.

I can sit still.  Although I like to be on the move and do things.  Having down time is important though.  I like having a schedule and in retail my schedule is never consistent.  But the routine of what I'm doing is similar nearly every shift pending on what department I'm working in.  So when I have down time.  I do enjoy sitting still.  Reflecting, praying and resting.

Yes, I always feel like I have to do something. I just have so much to do everyday, I just feel like I need to get everything done.

Unfortunately, I sit for about seventeen hours a day. I sit at a desk for about ten hours a day st my day time job and for about six hours in the evening at my second job. I sit in my car for the twenty to thirty minute drive to work and for another thirty minutes on the way home. I can not say that it is sitting still as I am typing for eighty percent of that time and I do get up to hit the restroom and grab breakfast, lunch and dinner. I do take the dogs for a walk in the morning and try to get at least thirty minutes of cardiovascular exercise in per day. I have a feeling that I am sitting, even when I am sleeping (probably doing so in my dreams). the weekends only has me sitting for ten to twelve hours and I walk/run more frequently. On vacations I walk forever...trying to take in as much as possible.

Some days I can't sit still, it is like I am a nervous wreak and have to be doing something. Most days I can sit and watch tv or read.

I'm always fidgeting if I have nothing to do with my hands. I've only had the issue since I started taking new medication, so I'm wondering if it's a side-effect? I just always want to be kept busy, but I'm also always exhausted. Lol.

I have trouble sitting  very long at a time. Due to hyperthroyi0d.  When we  travel. I start getting really antsy within an hour.  I try to make it  and hour and an a half if I am lucky and then I have to get out of the car and walk around a bit. Hubby is very understanding even though I  know he would rather keep  going. But I can't help it.  At home  im up and  down about 15 minutes or less.

I definitely need to take at least some moments out of the day to relax and sit down. But I also can't do that too long and need to get up eventually and feel productive.

I'm pretty sure that I have some form of ADD or ADHD, so I can't sit still to save my life. I think my brain functions at about 1,000 mph most of the time, so it makes sense that I fidget a lot.
