Walking around inside the house
« on: May 05, 2019, 04:44:41 am »
I heard someone had lost a lot of weight just walking around the house. Do you think that is even possible ? I suppose it would be if they said they did. What are your thoughts? :-\

Well yes, if you combine that with cutting calories. But it takes a lot of walking to burn calories. You can google it.  You also have to get a pretty good pace.  No faster than you walk in your home just walking thru the house I would not think you would lose too much weight.

Yes, I believe it could be possible to lose weight walking around your House, but if you combine House Cleaning with it, you would get much better results.

It seems like they would have to have made some kind of concentrated effort to walk a lot in the house to be able to lose weight from walking around the house. I doubt they could lose much just walking around their usual normal amount of walking.

My guess is they were also restricting calories.  Also, you would have to have a fairly large house.  I will also say that if there are a lot of stairs and you are making an effort to go up and down them so many times each day, you could get numerous steps in and work off some calories!

Yes especially if they were watching their diet and walking enough during he day or night.  Hmnnn interesting. That is what my son told me to do awhile back because I walk with a walker and really don't go out.

Yes, I think so.  If you wear a activity tracker and walk the amount of steps recommended a day and watch what you eat.

Since we live in a daylight basement I am sure the stairs make a difference.

If you put your mind to it, you could probably do it.  That would be a loot of walking though.

I think it is possible but you will have to do a lot of moving around and watch what you eat.

To lose weight, it would take more than walking around inside of the house.  There are so many things to do in order to lose weight.

I very much doubt you will lose weight just by walking around the house. I run 3 to 4 times a week (since October) and haven't lost a pound. Losing weight is more about diet than exercise.

I heard of that story.  I'm sure she also controlled her diet better as well but being active helps as well especially if she wasn't doing anything before.

Any time you are up and moving is good.  My house is old and we have a circle we walk in the winter , lots of doors for air flow.
