Strange question to DQ on

I was doing a survey for video games. About 10 minutes in, in the middle of it (past the demographic questions and had already answered a bunch about games), It tells me "Please select Green from the choices below so we know you are paying attention and are not a robot" (or something similar). I selected green, hit the continue arrow, and boom, DQed.

How does that DQ me? Makes no sense. I know it asked me to select green, and know that I did select green (not blue, red, or other color options).

Only thing I can think of is that the quota was full for the survey, however it should have DQed me way before that point if that was the case.

Anyone else ever get DQed on one of these "are you a real person / paying attention" type of questions?

I have had that happen to me also. A seemingly harmless question got me DQ'd can't figure it out.

Maybe you answered the question too fast? It might have thought you just clicked randomly and got lucky with the right answer instead of taking the time to read and comprehend the question. Not saying you did, but it's the only thing I could think of.

Nope. I am sure to not click to fast, as I know this can get you DQed.

I answered so many questions about games, including platforms, game types I play, game types I would consider, specific games I have heard of, specific games I play, how much I play them, howmuch I enjoy them... Then the quality check question of name this color DQs me? I call shenanigans lol. They got all the intel they needed, then DQed me.

Not all surveys are equal, some great, some good, some poor, and some a straight up rip off (or so it seems).

Possibly, you had already screened out for the study. Often, the respondent does not get DQ'd at the question where they actually DQ. By doing it at an innocent question like choosing the color correctly, you have no idea why you really DQ'd.

That happens to me a lot, I have gone maybe 50% of the answers and out of the blue, says that I Dq.  Not idea why

There are many reasons to be DQ and sometimes I don't think they need a reason it just happens.

It has happened to me also, no idea why; I just take the DQ bonus and go on to another one, sometimes there is no rhyme or reason why we disqualify; guess just the way the survey is set up.

Being DQd happens on here.  It may not have anything to do with your employment status.  You never know what they are looking for.

I agree with you, oldbuddy.... and they may wait to dq you so you won't know next time what you were dq'd on... I don't try to second guess  them but just accept that I was dq'd
