I just spent apx 30 minutes on a survey.  I get a good way in to it and it says xxx site is studying how people use their site and resume use.  I am asked to upload a copy of my current resume to this survey site and I assume the job listing site that is doing the study.  When I said no - I was kicked out.  I got 3 pennies.

If you want that personal of into you should tell people upfront in the before you start the survey info.  You will be required to upload your resume during this survey. 

Has anyone else ran in to this?  Too many times we have found out that we were lied to about who was actually behind the surveys.  WHY would I give some random who ever my resume?

i have never run it into that survey but i have had similar experiences.
these survey have to be more upfront about the subject matter and what is required to qualify before the survey starts.

If we, the survey takers,  complain at each one of these sensitive question surveys, email, name and age, gender excluded, the vendor would not accept them anymore and hence no pay, no gain!

Yeah it was on a different site. But if you want something like my "personal resume" to be uploaded then you should tell me that before I waste any time. Because NO I am not going to do that.

Okay, this is not a sensitive question.  Did you read the post.  They asked me to upload my entire personal resume.  The pay on these surveys are not high enough to ask for that.  General questions like gender, and age are not a problem.  Asking for email, street address and full name in a survey is also not going to happen.  The panel already has that info.

And as I already pointed out there have been more than one survey where when you get to the end you find out that the survey is not what you thought or who you thought was behind it.  Or it has happened to me.  There was one a while back, and it was discussed in the forums, where at the end the last page said "oh btw, we lied to you about who we are and what we were doing with this survey. How do you feel about this.  Went on to say that the survey was to prove people are bigots".  Well the laugh was on them because I lied when I answered the questions.  And before anybody starts it said in the directions you could make up names if you were not comfortable using real names.

So therefore their survey did not prove anything.

I have never run into one of those, but I am with you they should do a warning at the beginning of the survey with an option to accept or decline.  I do not provide any type of personal information beyond the regular name, date, age, zip code.  Neither will i linked my Facebook, Instagram accounts to any survey.  It is wrong

Right.  Uploading my resume to them for 30 cents is a little ridiculous. Tell me to start with extreme personal info is required. Do you want to continue.  OR ask it the first couple questions. Don't wait til 20 or more min in and then spring it on me.

I have never experienced this.  I never give out name, address, phone etc on any sites even after I take it and at the end it say can I have your name.  I just x out and go to the next survey.  You right, they should tell all that at the beginning and the person can decide if they want to continue or not.

A good way in the survey said it was being done on behalf of one of the popular job board/ searching sites.  And I am not sure but think the resume was actually supposedly being uploaded to the job board site. But either way it is not something I was going to do.  And yes, you could go in and delete it, assuming it was only sent to the one place or that you were able to find it again.  Because on sites like that you usually have an account you log in to and you were not setting up an account with them.

The survey was about how you would use the job searching site.  Either way I feel people should be told before they start the survey if a lot of personal identifying info is going to be required.  Kind of like the ones you completely finish and the last question asks for your name and street address and if you do not provide it then you get kicked out.  They want honest, fulfilling, thought out answers from the people taking the survey but they are not honest with us.  And it is not like the pay is all that great.  30 cents for a survey that takes half an hour is not all that good. lol

Well first off when you do that you have wasted your time because you do not get paid.  And second, you may not be aware of this but the people behind the survey know who you are and they have your real name and address.  I did not know that until a while back and I submitted a support ticket to FC and they sent back like I was stupid and said "oh course they know WHO you are".  Well no, I thought we were doing the surveys and were anonymous.

No, I did not.  There is no reason for them to have that.  Just like recently when I applied for a job and they asked in the meet and greet lol for my SS# and I told them if you hire me I will give it to you.  Otherwise you do not need it.
