As a child we always celebrated Easter, but as an adult, no.  I was just thinking earlier today about how much fun Easter was when I was a child.

Christmas is the celebration of Christ's birth. Easter celebrates His Resurrection. I've never heard the reverse.

And of course I'll be celebrating it. The holiest day of the year!

When I was younger we had easter breakfast and dinner. Then when I got married we did the same thing for the kids. Since the kids live in another state we send them money for the grandkids  so they can enjoy easter. we still have easter dinner here as well

I don't do anything crazy. I mainly just take my children to egg hunts and watch them have fun. I don't like them to have too much candy though.

No command in bible given RE Jesus birth or his resurrection.

He did tell his apostles on night before his death to keep doing this in rememberance of him.Passover its called.

Yes, I celebrate Easter.  It is my favorite holiday because it holds the most meaning for me.  It was the day Jesus left to prepare a place in Heaven for me with the promise He will return!!  We start off with church service and then spend the rest of the day with the family and loved ones.

No it wasn't.  Easter is the day Christ arose from the dead.  He was on Earth for quite a while after that before He went back to Heaven.
Even tho CG believes there are animals in heaven where bible tells us flesh and blood do not inherit heaven, she is right Jesus ascended back to heaven after 40 days being resurrected.

One doesn't need a command to celebrate the most important events in history.

Jesus was against legalism. If you were around back in the day, I'm sure you would be one of the pharisees harassing Jesus for some odd legalistic offence.

John 10:27-28 King James Version (KJV)
27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:“Keep Doing This in Remembrance of Me”

1 Jesus commanded his followers to celebrate the anniversary of his death. (Luke 22:19) This observance would serve as a reminder of the great sacrifice that Jesus made in behalf of humankind. This year Jehovah’s Witnesses worldwide will celebrate the Memorial of Christ’s death on Friday, April 17, after sundown.

28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

You are right you dont need a command to celebrate Jesus resurrection cos the command he gave was RE his upcoming execution.

“After giving thanks, he broke [the loaf] and said: ‘This means my body which is in your behalf. Keep doing this in remembrance of me.’”—1 CORINTHIANS 11:24.
