Congratulations on qualifying for that focus group. I qualified for an online health survey panel on here a while back. The panel is supposed to last 5 rounds, and we currently completed round 4. The reward is a $25 Amazon gift card after participating in at least half of the activities in each round with a bonus for participating in all 5 rounds. There are also opportunities to receive additional bonus rewards along the way. I have always received my reward in a timely manner after each round, and I have enjoyed my participation in the panel thus far.
That sounds interesting! How long does it take? Like you do 1 round per week? And did you mean $25 total or per round, as in $125 + a bonus for all 5 rounds? With the extra bonuses along the way, this sounds like a lucrative deal!
I recently did a study that involved probability, and at the end it gave me a random number. If my two digits match up with a specific state loto drawing in a week or 2 (need to check exact date!) I will get a bonus $94.50! Very cool, even to just have the chance (plus it paid as survey completion on FC).
On other sites, I have had my survey lead me into interviews and groups that paid well.
However, on Fusion Cash, I did get an email invite that led to a phone interview. I was supposed to get $100 for the phone interview but only got $20 which I was happy with but some weeks later my account was restricted for two weeks without explanation.
I think this was a fluke that will probably not happen to you.
I am retired from market research and used to recruit focus groups.
Your FC was restricted for two weeks? And you NEVER got an explanation?!
Does sound like a one time fluke.
I am very interested in market research and focus groups. I think I may be good at it. How does one go about getting a job in that field?
Search Market Research companies in your area and call or email if they have any openings. You can also search Market Research outside of your area and send them your resume. Also on employment sites such as Indeed, search for Market Research. It is an interesting field.
P.S.
Thank you for the information bostonphil. I will look into it. (You did not comment on the 2 week ban though??)
