So I click on a survey that pays around 20 cents.

I get a disclaimer that says something to the effect of:

There are SEVERAL questions that MUST be ANSWERED with THOUGHTFUL and FULL something blah blah BLAH answers.
You WILL be REQUIRED to ANSWER these questions with THOUGHT OUT answers.  We WILL notify your panel if you fail any quality checks.  DO YOU UNDERSTAND?

I was like uh screw you and said NO. lol

If you are paying $20 for a study I can understand stressing the importance of paying attention and giving quality answers.  But talking down to people and making threats - it would be funny if no one even attempted their survey.

Some of the "trick questions" you can answer honestly and they count it as wrong.  I had that happen on a different panel once.  So I am curious first has anyone else seen this?  And second, has anyone else just said forget it and said NO to start with?

I think all the capped words and the over all undertone told me I didn't need to even waste my time.

Yes some of these surveys aren’t worth all the time it takes for a few cents and some of the questions they ask or a little personal I like you pretty much just say nope

I started one last night that said the same jive about how careful attention is needed and blah blah and the first question said

Please carefully select your age from the selections below:

____ Male
____ Female

Smh.  I swear some of the surveys are so carelessly written it makes me wonder who is actually behind it.  And like you said some of the questions are pretty personal.  You do not KNOW who is actually behind the survey.  And they DO have access to YOUR personal info such as your real name and contact info.  I honestly did not know that until a couple years ago.  I thought the surveys were anonymous.
