I was under the impression that all members could send personal messages. When I clicked "New Message" it said I couldn't. Explain please? thanks.

I'm a little confused why it gives me the option then.  Just to disappoint me.  "Create New Message.......NOT!!" lol

i remember reading a post about this a long
time ago, and i think an admin replied and
said that the messaging services were being
abused, so they had to disable them or something?

...probably spamming! which ruined it for all of us

The thing is it's not that hard to find someone on the Internet and if they are smart, they will have ways you can contact them so they can help you.

I'm glad we can not send personal messaged to each other.  Makes for a 'safer' site.

I think it's on the account page, but it may be on the forum page - you have to click that you are willing to accept personal messages. Even then, you can only contact members who are also willing to accept them.
