Pens Or Pincles

The context in which a word is used, will often tell you what that word means, even if it is misspelled.   What else could pincle be?  A pinecone?  A pincushion?  Just saying....

lol.  Who knows? That is why it is important to spell things correctly. I mean it even underlines the words in red when they are spelled wrong.  You would be surprised how many people fill out an application and it is riddled with misspelled words.  I had one that misspelled the name of the street he lived on.  smh  No he did not get a job.

I agree that correct spelling is important, as is punctuation.  But communication can exist in the absence of either.  It might not be easy, but people don't deserve to be thrown to the wolves for a misspelled werd.

Eventually the context will give you clues what the word is supposed to be... but I was thinking is there a writing utensil that is called a 'pincle' before I figured it was simply supposed to be a pencil.   Spelling isn't hard on computers, there is a red line that goes underneath for spell check even on this forum.   But whatever, it's a cute way of sounding it out, but doesn't make for effortless reading.

I prefer a pen to write with... one that has plastic grip.

I didn't throw anybody to the wolves.  For all I knew it was some new writing utensil that I had not heard of yet.  Pincle did not resemble pencil at all when I saw it.  And believe it or not there are new writing instruments that nobody has ever heard of.  smh.

Exactly.   I don't usually try to figure out what words are suppose to be.  Esp, like you said when it is typed on a computer.  I worked with a girl a while back and her mom was looking at her resume and asked her or stated "I hope you are not sending this out to people like this".  It was full of mistakes, sloppy writing, words spelled wrong, you name it.

And in today's world most people are not going to try to figure out what you are saying or what you mean or what you are trying to say.

Pens are nicer to write with. I do like being able to erase pencil, but I hate how you drag your hand through it and make it smudgy. It's been years since I had an eraseable pen, maybe I should get one of those.

i usually use a pen except sometimes at work i use pencil in case i need to make changes

           I tend to use pens more than using a pencil. I still use a pencil's for certain things that I write or draw with, cause they do give the option for erasing if you make a mistake. Pens are smoother to write with though for me.

99% of the time I write with a pen, preferably blank ink.  For that 1% of the time when I'm writing something that may need to be changed later, usually a rough draft of something, I will use a pencil.
