Does anyone get this type of stuff coming to there phone every day? I know i do its annoying and that do not call list bs does not work. Picking up the phone most of the time i hear silence or the call is hung up on there end

I get them all the time.  I've blocked many of the numbers but, there are always more.  I don't answer my phone unless I recognize the number.

I was on the state and federal no call lists but it's too easy for the companies to use #'s of real people. If you hear a robocall that says "Can you hear me?" it was too late. They had grabbed your personal number to use for fake calls to others. I never used to answer and they would get my answering machine that told them if they were selling, I wasn't buying because I was broke. It worked for some. But others were very persistent. Then I started answering and immediately hang up. Worked again for a couple, but the next week they'd be back calling again.

This week I found that Comcast/Xfinity  offers a No call blocker called Nomorobo. It works. It does not block political or health companies, or even doctors offices, but it worked for every other one. Your phone will ring once and that's it.They get forwarded to Never Never Land. I used to get a dozen a day. Now I get ONE.

I get robocalls everyday.  You would think they would get the message where none of the calls are ever answered, but they continue.  They are annoying and irritating.

I get them on my business phone but never get them on my personal cellphone. I think that most landline phones get these kind of calls because the computer that is calling you calls every number in a row. example is  the last 4 numbers of the  phone number are 8846-8847-8848-etc. it will just go down the line.

To the OP: Not every day, but once in a while, I get their annoying phone calls. I am very close to changing my phone number because of it.

I get them all day.  Every day.  I block the number but they call from a different number the next day. Or a couple hours later.  A lot of the calls are either from another country or the number is spoofed so it is hard to tell where the call actually came from.  Before you go all physco on someone because their number shows up on your caller ID as a SPAM call just remember YOUR number may be being used as well.

It isn't too late.  When they say "Can you hear me" they want you to say YES so they can record that and then use your YES with another question.  They are not grabbing your number to use for fake calls to others.  If they called you then they already know what your number is.

They ask you a question such as "Do you agree to sign up for blah blah blah or to switch your phone service to whatever" and they have you recorded saying yes.  THAT is what the "Can you hear me is about.

Nomorerobo can be good and it can be bad.  I have got a couple of calls that were basically a robo call that I needed to hear what they were saying. 

It is funny because some woman called the church on Sunday morning and she talked to a woman before me that could not understand what she was saying.  She handed me the phone and she was saying "can you hear me".  Stupid me said Yes. lol.  She was a scammer but she didn't want to record my yes.  She wanted cash.  She was calling all the churches in the area and seeing where all she could stop by that day and pick up some drug money.

I get them for having requested health insurance information which I didn't and extended warranty expiring on my car which isn't true - problem is no the do not call option doesn't work and it isn't even a live person talking not that would help because I have been getting calls also for refinancing my house and they hang up as soon as they hear "I don't".  Greeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee makes me so mad.

I don't care if its a freedom of speech thing.  I think there should be a law stating that these guys can not call random numbers.  This is one of my pet peeves.  I get 10 of these a day.  The newest thing is they leave a message now and they don't say anything.  So, watch out so they don't fill your mailbox.

I'm constantly getting Robocallers, it makes me so mad.  They start calling so early in the morning and continue until late in the evening.  The national do not call registry doesn't help at all!!!!

Telemarketing calls do not fall under Freedom of Speech.  And there are laws.  They just cannot enforce them if the call comes from another country (although I do not know why) or if they cannot prove where the call came from.  Like has already been pointed out with computers making the calls they can spoof the phone number and the number on your caller ID is NOT who is calling you.

They care not calling random numbers.  If you talk to them most of the time they know your name.  And they don't call RANDOM numbers.  They call all numbers in sequence and some are a hit and some are not.  If you answer and talk to them they know it is a live number and they flag it as such.  So you will get called back.

I am curious - do you ever put your phone number in any offers online? If you do they will sell your phone number.  I get these calls but no where near 10 or more a day.

I get them off and on. If I don't know who is calling I rarely  answer. But  now I have started  putting them in my phone book and instead of a name it put "crap" and never answer them.  And when I  do pick on one I never  say hello. because when you do it triggers the computer. Really getting tired of it  but what  are we to do.
