Irritating fact

I have been away from the forum for a few days because life got in the way. I came back to find some rather irritating posts. I am gonna get up on my soapbox for a minute now.

When I come here to the forum, I love to read questions and answers about everything under the sun. I love that FC has given us the opportunity to express our opinions about just about everything imaginable. I really enjoy most posts in here. Some I read without responding, while others I respond. I have been rather concerned when reading posts today though. Many make no sense because they are not complete or have butchered the English language we all learned many years ago. Others make no sense because they say nothing at all. The title is awesome and grabs my attention. I click on the thread, just to see an emoticon. I truly hope that these posts are not just an attempt to get $3 for posting in the forum. It is an utter waste of time, both yours and ours to make silly posts like these. It has no point, is not helpful, and is not funny...it is plain irritating. If these posts have been made in an attempt to collect $3 for posting, I urge you to read the thread and rules for qualifying posts again.

OK, I will now step down from my soapbox. I am not saying this to be mean or rude to anyone. I am merely making a point. Hopefully this will aid people in earning their $3 monthly bonus for posting in the forum and my time can be better spent reading meaningful posts.

The forum is full of spam, but I suppose it does help keep the forum active.

I've still yet to see any of the spammers post in the forum participation proof thread.
I do believe the spammers are not receiving credit.

I agree about the poor grammar and spelling.

If all a post contains is an emoticon, it will not count towards the 30 needed for the posting bonus.

Well maybe not everyone has discovered their spell check. Maybe they type super fast and dont re read what they have typed. Why would something like grammar hurt people so bad? Mistakes happen daily.

Yes maybe it is the fact that people are trying to get to 30 posts and just post ramblings.  So often people try to help or further comment regarding these posts, but without clear and coherent questions or details from the OP, the conversations turn into nothing.  Too often, people just have to guess what someone really means.  Often you never hear from the OP again, even after people have asked for clarification or details as to what they are trying to ask or what point they are making.
