It took me a while to see that he was a giant paper clip. I thought he was a mirror and I didn't get it. 

I didn't think it was all that funny, though. To each his own.

That is because you do not understand it. lol  That was my point.  It is funny if you know what it means.

His name is Clippy and he was the "assistant" like the Cortana or whatever her name is now.  He would help you do things on your computer and help you find things.  Some people got annoyed by him because he would randomly pop up and ask if you needed help.  Seems like he had some funny animated things he would do as well.  It was for several versions back of Windows or something like that.  He was the Micosoft Office Assistant.

I saw that one and it made me crack a smile.  But reminiscing about that Clippy paper clip is another story.  I couldn't stand him popping up like he did.  I found a way to disable him and it restored my peace of mind.  LOL

They aren't stupid just because they are not aware of something that happened before their time.  My nephew is extremely smart but would have no idea what this cartoon means.  Clippy was before his time.  Just like the other night when people were talking about stuff that was before MY time.  Doesn't mean I am stupid because I didn't know what it was.
