Many people have been false claiming action on Americans. How do you feel about calling the police on someone just because?

No it would be a waste of time the police have many other things to do this would really fill up their books and they get nothing else done because this is all that’s happening these days

I haven't called the police on anyone.. It would be a total waste of time if you did unless it is absolutly life threatening or endangering your life in some way and even then You need proof .. and even if you have proof.. they may get aquitted anyways with a slap on the wrist or reason of insanity.. I  am not a cap hater.. and i don't have anything against them.. but  at this day and this time..  this is how i feel

Cops have no obligation to protect you.   The "Protect and Serve"  written on their cruisers is just another empty slogan.
I don't call the cops for any reason.

I think it's ridiculous. People who do this clearly are petty and have nothing else to do with there time.

Why are they abusing the police phone lines, for just about anything, it looks we cannot work out our problems no other way...

It seems to be the way these days. It's just a way to bully folks into submission. File a false complaint, have the victim dragged through the mud for a year (the poor soul getting legal fees ranking up all the while, to say nothing of getting an unfair arrest on their record) don't show up to the trial and don't even get a slap on the wrist for starting the entire ordeal over a lie.

That's the justice system for you. Unjust to say the least.

Google JediJohnnie and May the Force be with you!

I would not do it just because there would even have to be a pretty good reason. Do you think they're just suspicious?

yeah its too much "i need my face in the news" actions that take the police away from their jobs. on the other hand, if they dont answer these calls, its on them, not the false accusers

To the OP: The action of calling the police "just because" is itself a crime. Sadly, people nowadays use the much needed resources of the police in order to obtain their 15 seconds of fame. Case in point: consider the increasing prevalence of swatting. One such incident resulted in the death of an innocent man (in Ohio, I believe) and the arrest and incarceration of some dumb kid in California.

It's a waste of police resources. They are supposed to be there in case of emergencies and to investigate real crimes. Not to get involved in petty drama.

It is not a good thing calling out your neighbor, but if you have to, you must...

Sometimes you need to call the police, like when your neighbor whom you share a wall with blast their music past 12 am. It's best to call police especially if they're hostile and drunk.
I recently heard on the news where a pilot got fired because passengers from a Terminal saw him naked while standing in the hotel room window. Now that's crazy on the part of the police for even coming on the scene of that that supposed crime. They called it indecent exposure.

'Just because'-what is that?  There are a lot of stupid people out there and the Police Department frowns  on such prank usage of the 911 calls.
