how is your sleep
« on: January 04, 2019, 07:38:37 am »
I am tired all the time.  The night before last I couldn't sleep finally got up and made coffee at 4 am.  I didn't feel to bad the rest of the day.  Took a nap with my grandson helped.  I went to sleep last night about 11 pm.  Was sleeping pretty good when a train came through.  Seemed like it was 10 miles long.  I have been having this problem I am so tired all day but at night I lay in bed tossing and turning seems like when I finally decide to sleep it's time to get up.  Do you sleep good?

My sleep is very inconsistent.  I never know when I will fall asleep, how long I will stay asleep, or what time I will wake up.  At times, I take an OTC sleep aid and/or melatonin.  My sleep is like this although I follow pretty good sleep habits, like trying to go to sleep around the same time every night, not eating for at least 4 hours before I go to bed, turning down the lights and sounds in my home.  I have found that not staying on my computer or smartphone for about an hour or so before I go to bed helps.  However, I have to have my TV on timer in order to sleep.

I am very lucky to not have sleep problems  I get awake very early but that mostly depends on how early I go to bed

I am on call 24/7  and I am a light sleeper. I have been taking a sleep aid once a night. it helps a little and I still wake up in the middle of the night but only for a few minutes. then back to sleep :)

I am a light sleeper so wake up often at night, but  am able  for the most part  get  back to sleep. sometimes  though I will have to get up and get in my chair with a vibrator  and use it for about 15 minutes then go back to bed and wham I am  asleep. The doctor has put me on some extra calcium and it seems to be help also. Who knew that it would help .

I just diagnosed with sleep apnea and I got a C-PAP machine but I cannot sleep with it when I am using it. It bothers my face and is uncomfortable. I was told by my doctor's office to use it 4 hours each day while I watch TV or what ever so my insurance company lets me keep it. Even though I cannot sleep with it on, I have been sleeping better.

My sleep has not been great. I often have trouble falling asleep or I keep waking up in the middle of the night. The weekends are not so bad for me, but during the week is the worst and when I need sleep the most.

I've never slept well. Some fitness trackers will monitor your sleep and give you suggestions to help.

I guess I have been really fortunate because I don't have a problem sleeping once I go to bed.  however, if I take a nap during the day or go to bed too early that may delay my going to sleep. I only seem to need 5 hours of sleep

I understand; I too am a light sleeper and was taking sleep aid until I realized it was increasing my night hunger.  I've dropped 6 lbs since discontinuing it from my routine, I figured I can lose an hour or two of sleep to lose weight lol.

xd .

Good luck with that. It is an adjustment. I started using a CPAP mask nearly three years ago. I didn't like it at first, but now have gotten used to it and actually enjoy it in some ways. When I fall asleep without it by accident - I always wake up with a snore induced sore throat.

The trick for me was to find the right mask design. For me that was when I eventually tried the Amara View mask.

I am a light sleeper. Need to sleep at 8pm because my body is like an alarm clock that wake up so early and can't go back to sleep. Even if im tired just sleep a little and thats it. Maybe when am retired it will changed.
