I tell you, I got amazon prime over the summer last year just to buy one thing and decided to keep it. It has free shipping. Deals on certain days, and a lot of content to watch on amazon video. Greatest service ever in my opinion.

I like Amazon too - Prime seems to have paid off in terms of investment - I feel like the more you use it the more beneficial the program.

But if the product does not ship from Amazon you don't get the 2 day shipping.  I thought about getting it but never could justify it.  The Amazon videos are they new movies or 2nd rate movies nobody has ever heard of?

they have some new movies and old movies. Good titles too. Yes not all ship from amazon but for the most part it is free shipping.

LOL How are they going to take over the world?  That is the same thing people said about Walmart.

Smaller companies will always be bought out by larger ones. That is how it works. Or companies merge. So eventually you have no competition.  You have one company that controls the market.  Personally, I like Amazon. And nobody locally can beat Walmart on prices.

With Amazon Smile, you choose a charity for Amazon to donate a small portion of the amount you pay for whatever you order. I think the best way to find a charity is to click or tap “Account & Lists” and then “AmazonSmile Charity Lists” from the menu.

I had a free trial to amazon prime recently and was not impressed, so I canceled.  I could never figure out how to load the amazon videos on my smart tv with roku and really don't need more to watch.   You get free shipping anyway with amazon but you just have to wait a couple more days, which is fine with me.

Amazon is a favorite of mine and I do give thru purchasing to Amazon Smile.  It works for me, but you have to be careful of who you purchase from.  A lot of the sellers are located in India, Asia etc and not in USA which can take weeks to receive your item.

I have Prime  but I'm going to cancel. I don't buy enough to justify the $13-something a month charge. It did come in handy for Christmas. I also have $64 in gift card dollars. I love the idea that they never expire but the stuff I want is more expensive than on another site.  I always watch where the items come from and will not deal with overseas sellers. Got burned once on another site so won't do it again. They don't seem to understand English very well.
