It is indeed an inconvenience for those workers to not get their pay checks on time when Congress and The Senate all continue to be paid during the shutdown.  But the process is affecting many more than just the workers who are on furlow.

The government voted to pay Federal Workers whose checks would have stopped starting today, 1/11.
Those who are not working can declare for unemployment... just like in the private sector.

Much ado over nothing.  Curious, my life hasn't been affected at all, has yours?

          Who enjoyed the imaginary conversations CHUMP had with former Presidents, who told him they wished they had built "THAT GREAT WALL".                    Sometimes when I'm sleepy and watching the News, I think that I'm watching an hilarious SNL skit-then I wake up and SCREAM, OH NO, it's true-Fattbutt, Man-Baby, CHUMP is our President and then I begin to cry!

Obviously you are off your meds at this point. I have never launched attacks on another member like you are on me.  Keep it up.  Just because you do not agree with me or obviously are democrat and yes I insulted the democrat party and you feel attacked does not mean it is a personal attack on you.

I know for a fact that Fusion Cash feels the same.  I also know for a fact that at least one other member was deleted for launching personal attacks.  She may not agree with my comments but that does not mean I have mental illness.  I am not bi-polar and I am not on medication.  But you are correct --- that is def considered a hate speech.  And I have never launched personal attacks on other members.  I may point out I do not agree and I do speak my opinion just like everyone else.

Polls... here's a little secret. Paints is partially right about polls...do the posters backing their info rely on polls? Certainly, yet most poll takers only allow up to 1000 people to answer. That's not a very large percentage of the population. So leaning on polls that only a miniscule amount of people vote is not representative of the country.

Darn it! Just like on FC when I try to take a survey and get 99% through it only to be DQ'd because they've already met their quota!

While I don't always agree with her delivery methods, I think Countrygirl hit the nail on the head a while ago discussing the difference between Dems and Repubs.  As far as the mainstream media is concerned, if Donald Trump and Barack Obama were separately driving down the same street and both ran over two little old ladies crossing the intersection, the headlines would read that maniac Trump killed a poor innocent woman trying to cross the street and that heroic Obama rid the world of another one of those damn jaywalkers that cause traffic problems for the rest of us.


But I think I need a break from all the venom being spewed back and forth here. I'm going to go look for another survey to complete.  I hope that there are some political ones surfacing so that I can represent the small percentage of people who recognize good and evil on both sides (and there is good and bad in both liberals and conservatives), but absolute bias in how it is reported to the general public.


I am also looking forward to how much things will cool down here in six years when someone else takes over from Trump as President!

            First of all I don't consider CHUMP a Republican.   As a Democrat, I respect the two party system and I respect the Republican point of view, just not extreme right winger bigoted nuts who only want to divide us.   (CHUMP)     I am 61 years old and have never personally witnessed such division between the parties.      Right now Mitch Mcconnell needs to quit hiding in the powder room and pull up his Big Boy Pants and negotiate with Chuck  and Nancy , since CHUMP is incapable of this.   Maybe all of them should watch an old tape of Ron Reagan and Tip O'neill doing just that.

Like I have said before I do not coddle people.  I say the exact same thing other people do and snowflakes can't handle that and get all offended.  I just say it.  Put yer big people pants on and deal with it.  It is like your example with running over the little old ladies (which is exactly right on) I say the exact same thing as others and people get mad at me. lol
