I started turning gray at 17 (Irish and American Indian) so I have colored for a long time.  It males me feel better about myself.  On the Irish side everyone has turned gray very young.

My hair would be quite grey, if I would quit using color on it.  My girls talked me into coloring my hair a few years ago, and I have continued to go through the process about twice yearly. I do think covering my grey hair makes me feel younger.  When I was growing up, there was a stigma about dying your hair.  Anyone could spot dyed hair a mile off!   But now, the process of coloring hair has been perfected to the point that it looks really natural.  So I will keep covering my grey for a few more years.

I am 67 years old and use to have my hair highlighted and roots touched up every 6 to 8 weeks. It was not very cheap to keep up with this. Last time I got it done was in December of 2017. I went to the hairdresser December of this year and cut my hair ( which was almost to my waist ) shoulder length. I am pleased with the look and my brown and silver hair looks like what my hair use to look like just brown and silver instead of brown and blond.

I am so sick and tired of being a slave to hair dye that I have decided to go grey. Is 61 to early to go grey?....are YOU grey/white yet? INQUIRING minds wants to know :)

I started going gray in my mid 20s.  Up until my 40s, it just looked like highlights in my hair.  I tried dyeing it for a while, but for the last 10 or so years, I've just let it do what it does.
It's still dark in places, but the grey "highlights" have pretty much taken over.  :)

Leave it gray, it is a sign of maturity and wisdom, dyeing it is just not only covering it up, but posible letting unsafe chemicals into your body, not healthy...

I just started to get a few gray hairs in my 50's and I use a temporary hair color you just brush on for a few gray hairs. I'm not sure what I'm going to do when my hair goes completely gray since I have so my problems with the chemicals in hair dye.

I am salt and pepper now. Not completely gray yet.
To make it look better, I have grey highlights around
my forehead done by the local beautician. She says:
"You have to look good when people look at you".
I agree with her opinion and comments.

Hello! :D :)

I've personally decided to let my hair grow naturally gray. I'm into being completely natural aging is a part of life there is nothing to be ashamed of as some never got the chance to. I tried dyeing my hair just once but it didn't work-out and since then I have never done it again. Do whatever makes you happy. :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:

I only have grays on one side of my head. It's so odd, so I'm dying it my natural color. I'm in my 30s, so the grays aren't too bad but ughhh.

Since I was a natural brunette, was a slave to coloring my hair every month when grey and silver came through in the middle.  Now that the top of my hair has turned white, I dye my hair pale blonde every 3 or 4 months and the white hair blends in wonderfully with the blonde.  Also, it actually makes me look younger!

Some grey hair is yellowish-so ugly.  But then there are those who have silver grey which is beautiful.  I have grey hair that I color sometimes, depending on how I am feeling.
