I do those type of surveys a lot, i don't mind as long as they don't ask for personal information. I have not had a survey asking if I own a gun, but have had some ask if I have a security system.

It is usually in the list of do you own the following items.  And GUN is in there a lot lately.  I am like why do you need to know that?

My bank is never on their list.  I use a local bank.

And usually at the end it will ask the name of your bank if it is not on the list. GRRR

I have never been asked personal questions and I recommend you do not give it out either, it could be a scam

Those questions don't bother me as long as they're not TOO specific in the information they want. My bank is not usually listed anyway. But the surveys that ask for your log in information for LinkedIn, Facebook, Netflix, etc -- seriously!? why would I give out my username and password!?  ::)

If you have never been asked personal questions I wonder how many surveys you have taken. Most of the questions are personal.  You birthday, your family members, where you live, what things you do and watch, those are all personal.

Now that you mention it, I am kinda concerned about questions about my banking accounts. I used to think that this was from surveys put on by specific banks (who would either want the opinions of people that do or even don't bank with them). Now, I'm not so sure since I have been seeing this more frequently lately.

You have NO idea who is actually behind the surveys.  :(  I mean I have seen surveys that want to know who your bank accounts are with and even a range of how much money you have in your account.  Oh Idk. About a mil or so. lol

I've been leery about doing credit card or bank account surveys. I do not feel comfortable doing those.

Agree....keep it simple and to stuff that requires no information from me...

I understand asking about products you use but I have also noticed if say the survey is for Bounty paper towels and you say you would not buy those you get kicked out. Why not leave me in the survey and ask me WHY I would not purchase them?  You want people to tell you what you want to hear.

If it's pretty general, like asking which bank I use, I think that's ok. If they start getting too personal with the questions I will X it out no matter how much time I've invested. I wish they'd put those questions at the beginning.

:menorah:   :santa:  :snowflake:  I have answered a few surveys that have asked if I have a bank account or credit card. If a survey asked what the numbers for accounts I would just close them and go to another. That's too much information that a survey doesn't need to know.  :menorah:  :santa:  :snowflake:

NEVER give them account numbers. But sometimes with your name, birthday, address, etc then knowing the exact bank you use....
