InContext
« on: December 16, 2018, 08:35:06 am »
I just got one of those InContext virtual shopping trips on Tap Research.  I haven't had one of those in a while. (I think the practicing takes more time than the survey LOL)  It paid 0.45.  8) 8) It was about buying Toilet Paper.

I always get a little "lift" in spirits when it looks like I am getting one of those types of surveys.  I've had several go to completion and reward me with compensation.  I think the are fun!  And very different!  I do believe they are the wave of the future and we all might be buying online in this fashion sooner than later!  I guess its good to get in some practice time with these surveys.

I don't think I have ever gotten one of those.  Curious.

I got that one!

What I hated was that the practice was easy, but as soon as the real shopping trip began, the buttons were harder to work, and I kept ending up in the ceiling.

But I completed it, and it was fun.

Ha, I was wondering if anyone else did the ceiling shopping thing or if it was just me.  LOL   ;D

If I'm not on the ceiling, then I drag on the floor and crash into the shelf.  The last couple of times I've tried the shopping surveys, I was too tired to navigate the cart properly.

It was actually pretty funny.  It's probably not a good idea for me to be a sleepy shopper.   :silly:

I personally think those surveys take too long. But they can be kind of fun.

Once you get used to how those work they are very easy.

I used to be able to work the In Context virtual shopping surveys and I really immersed myself in the shopping experience.  I've always thought they were fun.  You really do see some new and different products on the shelves -- at least I have.

However, since the beginning of the year I found when I attempted the In Context surveys I could never get out of the tutorial mode smoothly, specifically, past the part where you pick up something from the shelf with the 'hand' feature and place it in the shopping cart.  I've tried all sorts of ways to trigger it to move on, including pointing upward at the ceiling.  Strangely, at times this angle has tripped the next part of the tutorial to continue for me.  Once I'm through struggling with the tutorial, the actual survey is a piece of cake.  Nowadays, In Context is a hit or miss, mostly miss.:'(

I've done a few of these. They are a little wonky at first, but once you do a few, you get better with the controls. I wish they would let you skip the tutorial though.
