There was nothing positive about the job I mentioned above.
Sure there was. He was willing to pay you in exchange for performing work. That is a benefit. The conditions and atmosphere sound awful and you are probably correct that he will have trouble filling the job under those terms. But I guarantee you that there are thousands of people who would be willing to fill the position if it was offered to them (albeit, many of them undocumented aliens).
I doubt it. There is a lot I left out. He actually sat there and told me he gets mad and will scream and yell at me and cuss me and I have to sit there and take it. And he will come back and apologize later but that is just who he is.
If we get busy and you don't get a lunch break missing a meal won't kill you.
I want you at work 45 minutes early so that I know you will be here on time. I can be late but I live farther away and that is acceptable.
You will work every weekend. I, no I don't work weekends. I have worked x number of years and I deserve to have those off.
If I don't think you are working hard enough for the sale I will jump in and take it away from you.
I can't even remember now what all. He was horrible. Yes he may get somebody to take the job but if they only stay a week then what good is he doing? Yes, I guess getting paid $7.69 (not much over the fed min wage) an hour and horrible working conditions is something to be grateful for lol.
No, there are not thousands of people willing to take the job. He can't even get a handful to consider taking the job. I would think this would make the owner take a look at this manager. Because THIS department is the only one that they can't get anybody to take the job. And no it isn't because people are lazy. I would think if the interview were taped and played for the owner they may be looking for a new manager.
I am not sure I would take this as an hourly job at $15 an hour. haha
