I have been to the hospital one time this year.  In June I total knee replacement on my left knee.  I am going in January to have my right knee done.

For myself, Zero times.  For my hubby once this year, he had chest pain and they sent him the the ER for check up, thankfully it was nothing serious.  Now I have a 2 years old granddaughter that suffers from "intussusception", which is basically problems with the intestines colliding and she had to go twice withing 48 hours for the same issue.  And unfortunately, my MIL passed away in February and due to that mu FIL went into the hospital for High blood pressure, we where with him everyday for 10 days.  He is better now, thank God.

Twice for surgery myself, and once in emergency.  My husband twice in emergency.  It's been an expensive year. :P

My mom was being treated for cancer, so I was in the hospital a lot .months ago She's ok now thank God, I myself was an outpatient for a colonoscopy a few months back but other than that I haven't been recently. I don't like hospitals, but if I have to go, I will.

Nancy, I hope that you made it through everything okay.

Actually, a few weeks ago for a colonoscopy. I had one of those fecal tests come back positive so you can imagine how terrified I was. The thing that upset me is that I thought that it meant I had cancer. My regular doctor had someone else call me which I was rather upset about because all she said was that is was positive, but did not tell me what that actually meant so I assumed the worst.

I had to wait for almost two months for an appointment, but I threw myself into books (mystery fiction), spent time with my best friend, and of course, my pets, until then.

The doctor also did an esophageal dilation (esophagus stretch) due to over 20 years of problems with swallowing food. So, I had a tube at each end.

My doctor was wonderful. The nurses and staff were extremely caring, compassionate, and I was in and out in a few short hours.

I did not even know when I was being put under. One minute I was thinking, "I hope I make it through this without having to go to the bathroom," and the next moment, I woke up, and it was all done.

Thankfully, no cancer, just a polyp which was removed and gastritis.

This is extremely stressful for most people but imaging having anxiety, OCD, and depression and having to go through this.

Thankfully, I can state that I haven't had any hospitalizations (either for myself or a loved one). I pray everyday that I can maintain that. Hospital stays/visits are no fun, obviously.

I am not even sure. I had a colonoscopy, sinus surgery, CAT Scan, MRI and I think 2 different X Rays. I live at the doctors it seems like. It is very rare that a week will go by and I will not have a doctors appointment.  :(

I had to go to the ER with my son.  It was more painful for him when he got the bill than the illness he'd been dealing with.  Thankfully myself, my husband nor my youngest was in hospital this year.  My oldest had to go to ER as she had a flu bug the same time as my son - which is weird because they live an hour away from one another.
