Do you iron your clothes?
« on: November 29, 2018, 05:40:00 pm »
I do not. When I take stuff from the dryer, I just hang it up because it doesn't need to be ironed.

I buy the seventeen dollar and forty nine cent, button down collar, Costco dress shirts that claim to be wrinkle free. Their claim is pretty good especially, if you throw them in the dryer (after washing them) for about fifteen minutes. I used to iron all of my shirts, complete with starch and spray bottle, and would spend two and a half hours every Sunday night getting my shirts pressed for the week ahead. My salary and bonus at that time ranged between forty to fifty dollars an hour. My shirts at that time were tailored (custom fit). When I sat down and did the math it made much more sense to take my shirts to the cleaners at ninety nine cents a shirt. The cleaners wore my shirts down quicker but the savings, and lack of headache, was well worth it.

I pretty much stopped ironing when I retired. No need for business clothes.

I have a couple linen & cotton dress shirts that need to be ironed, but other than that, I rarely iron.
I brought out my iron for the first time in months to iron a Thanksgiving gold tablecloth... but that was it.

I've only ever ironed a handful of times in my life. Some wrinkles don't bother me, and I only iron if I need to look super tidy and professional (incredibly rarely, haha). I think it's unneeded effort, really.  :)

No I do not.  I throw my stuff in the dryer and use the wrinkle-guard function on the dryer so there isn't any need.

Yes. I do, especially my husband work clothes. Bringing them to the dry cleaning is so expensive. Every day off i got in a week, i iron our work clothes (long sleeves and pants).

Very seldom ever do I iron.  I will spray things down with Downy wrinkle spray and throw them in the dryer.
Have a wonderful day!

No I no longer iron anything. I always did hate ironing. I make sure to hang things soon as the dryer stops so they do not wrinkle.

I will only iron my clothes if needed especially if I see wrinkles on the clothes.

I rarely Iron my cloths. I fold and hang them up as soon as they I take them out of the dryer. If you let the cloths sit, you will have to iron them because wrinkles will form. Ironing a bunch of cloths is extra work in my opinion.
