If you buy these, do you usually buy a box with like 3-4 different designs and send them to people or do you take the time to hand pick cards for people? I usually go to a dollar store and buy cards because people usually throw them away after the holidays.

The Christmas cards are a thing of the Past, everything is now going the digital route.

I think "snail mail" Christmas cards are a sweet gesture. They never go out of style. The only thing I don't like about them is they're not the most eco-friendly. I don't send them, or hand them out to people in person. We just stick to gifts, haha. (And yes, wrapping paper is definitely not very eco-friendly, either! Haha.)

I used to love sending Christmas cards, but now I seem to never get around to sitting down and writing them.  I would always write a long, personal note on each one, and it made me feel a special connection with the person I was writing.  I don't think I've ever picked individual cards for people, but I've spent long minutes browsing the boxes full of cards with all the beautiful Christmas scenes and sentiments, trying to select the perfect one. I love Christmas traditions, but I'm afraid traditional cards are going to become a thing of the past in this day of instantaneous technology!

Depends. Sometimes I make them on Shutterfly for close family.  I have picked some at Dollar Tree because they are 50 cents. OR some are a dollar.  I usually get the boxes for 50 to 75 off at Walmart after Christmas.  Like you said most throw them away.  The ones from close family I keep.  I have cards from family who have died and they mean a lot to me.

My husband still sends Christmas cards because some of our relatives are older already and they don't used internet.  Sending cards are still the best, showing an effort and the spirits is the best.

I just buy a box of cards with maybe four different designs. I give them out at work and send them with gifts that I send through the mail. I buy my cards after Christmas when they are on sale.

Yes, sending and receiving cards is considered to be part of the Christmas activities.
It helps us to really think of the people we're sending the cards to.
Receiving helps us appreciate the sender.
My thing is: do you keep the cards; that you got after it's all over?

I send out a few. Found some old ones my mom had from the fifties and sixties. Going to put them  out arounder the house.ma6be I could sell on ebay.

I actually do both, I have some people that get special cards and others that get boxed cards.

I just buy a box with one type of card, last two years they've been cards from Hobby Lobby... beautiful cards.
I purchased an assortment from Costco awhile back, handmade cards each unique, BUT the cost to send them was crazy... like double the stamps & they had to be hand stamped.  So much hassle, so no more of that.  Stamps are getting so pricey.

When i accept a gift this time of the year because of the service i provide i dont accept it because its Jesus birthday.I accept it as a token of the many i provide my services for for their appreciation.

That gift usually comes in the form of a holiday card with money in it.I thank them for their gift.

I am always happy when receiving Christmas cards but never send them. I just do not have any time, plain and simple. I will have most of December off from my day time job but  already see a massive front of work moving in to my night time job. I will be getting paid time off from the day job and getting overtime from the night job. It is still a vacation for me because I only have to focus on one set of headaches rather than two. I figure it would take about three hours to get Christmas cards out.Overtime on the project should come in at roughly ninety dollars an hour. I have a ton of friends and family that I love dearly but not to the degree of losing two hundred and seventy dollars. I guess that makes me Scrooge.
