Birthday Celebration
« on: November 02, 2018, 12:33:07 pm »
My birthday is at the end of November and I plan to celebrate every weekend in the month.  Each one will probably have something to do with eating.  Saturday I'm going to a fish fry and of course Thanksgiving is this month.  What are some things you do for your birthday?

A grandchild who is very close to me is having a bday around Thanksgiving. Man, the grow up fast!

Problem is the older the get, I too am getting older.

She told me I could go backwards in aging now. I told her when I eventually get younger than her, she will have to take care of me.

We both joke about that. Who said I was "joking"? ha ha ha

I don't celebrate birthdays anymore, I just celebrate life. When I get up n the mornings my name is not in the orbit section of the newspaper. Then it is time to celebrate  one more  day. And  thank God for the strength  to keep going and being able to volunteer to help the needy. and to see my family doing well.

I go on a birthday trip.  I don't always go in my birthday month I wait sometimes a few months after.  Last year I went to Hawaii, the year before that I went to Alaska.  I'm off work until the 12th but I don't have anything planned.  I might go somewhere in December because I have some vacation then.

Alaska is a big place, where did you go and how did you get there? This year we drive the Alcan Highway to Anchorage again.

First of all happy birthday. My birthday is at the end of july and my 2nd daughter was born 10 days before my birthday so that was a surprise . Of course it was over 20 years ago but its still a happy month.  :)

I don't do anything. I am lucky if anybody even remembers. Other than my mom nobody usually does.

Happy Birthday!  I usually celebrate with family and friends by having dinner and drinks and I always want to have a birthday cake so I can make a wish and blow out my candles.

Have a great birthday.  My birthday is January.  My family always go out to dinner at a 5 star restaurant.  We splurge only on birthdays but enjoy the food, service, and atmosphere.  Then go home to a cake and presents.

We don't do that any more.  People usually blow spit out when they blow out candles so I don't eat cake somebody has blowed slobber on. lol

My birthdays always also involve eating in one way or another. My favorite thing to do is invite the whole family over to sit in the pergola my husband built for me in the back of our property and grill steaks and veggie kabobs and have a huge salad with homemade Italian dressing and grilled potato slabs with apple pie and ice cream for dessert. Want to join us for my birthday in 2019?

Dreamy I like that idea of taking a birthday trip and will consider that because getting away is always nice.

Braggin throw in some seafood on the grill and I'm all in.  That sounds great and the menu is fantastic.

I may go out to dinner or take in a movie; nothing special.
