The history of Holloween might be of interest to many people.  It is very gruesome.

I will never celebrate it.  I do not rejoice in death, ghosts, supernatural tricks etc. I do not give out candy.

I just wait for Thanksgiving.

You are quite right.A God of love would not be associated with that. Many just dont know or are blinded by its origin.Even if 1 casualty was caused by its influence, its 1 too many.

I am not a big fan of Halloween. I don't like the fact that people waste so much money on candy that is not good for you, but I have kids so I allow them to participate in school events and festivals that celebrate fall and Halloween.

our town has what they call a trunk or treat hosted by our local fire dept. a number of cars go to our local park and decorate their car trunks and the kids go from car to car  no walking street or going to strangers home trick or treating this is more fun and all in one place and there is also a parade around the park for the children

I really don't celebrate Halloween and haven't since I was a kid.  I just like seeing the creative costumes  :glasses-nerdy:

We live to far out for the kids to come, no house close so they can not walk from place to place.  Gas is to high here to drive.

I am not a big Halloween person, but I have small children and they like to dress up as super heroes so I let them. I also enjoy taking them to festivals. I don't get into haunted houses or anything scary or gruesome. Just clean fun.

I decorate for Halloween and that is about it.  I thought when I moved to this neighborhood a year ago that I would have some trick or treater kids come by but no one did but I still decorate for my own enjoyment.  I put a halloween wreath on my front dorr and a halloween mat in front of the door.  I have a few decorations inside as well.  If I am in the mood for candy I buy some for me to eat LOL   :pumpkin:

I don't really celebrate Halloween, I don't have young kids and there aren't any in our neighborhood.  But most of our young kids go to the area mall to treat or treat since each store passes out candy and it's safer.  Can't believe that Halloween is the second highest grossing holiday after Christmas.

Even though we've never had a trick or treater here I always buy a little candy (that I like) just in case. LOL :pumpkin: :pumpkin:
