FINALLY!!! It stopped raining.

It rained steadily all weekend until early this morning (effects from George). Thank heavens it wasn't the heavy downpours we had last month. Our summer has been nothing but heat, humidity and rain. Sux. A couple towns flooded 3 times in 3 weeks. That's how bad it was in August.

Now we have to brace for the effects of Florence. We aren't in the direct path but we will be getting the end results. We always do. I only hope it doesn't stall over us like Agnes did back in '72.  At least it's not snow! The rain we got with one downpour was 3". That would have been 3 feet of snow!!! Not ready for that.

We here in Ga. well we get some of the after effects of Florence, had some hard and severe thundering and Lightning last night, the 10th.

It has stopped here too but I think we have more on the way with the hurricane coming I heard this morning that certain places can expect to get over 12 in of rain if not more we go from one extreme to the next

Rain? What's that? I have embraced the mountain life of Colorado (even though I live on the plains). We get over three hundred and twenty days of sunshine and no humidity. If we want a lot of snow we drive two hours into the mountains and can get all of the cold white stuff we desire. Sorry to hear that others are getting so much rain. I came to Colorado about twenty five years ago, from Wisconsin, and dread when I have to go back for the occasional family visit due to the weather and bugs. I lived in Florida for a year, loved the ocean but, once again, you can keep the weather. I read a study, a while back, about how higher rates of depression correlate with overcast days and bad weather. I recall so many friends in Wisconsin that never seemed happy and am hard pressed to find people who are down in the dumps in Colorado.

In the mid atlantic we had rain all week - finally a nice day today but the yard is still so wet it is almost impossible to cut the grass.

I was SO glad that the only thing my neighborhood experienced was torrential rain. The news made it seem much worse than it actually was.

We didn't much rain over the weekend, Saturday was not much of a downpour, ended later in the day, Sunday no rain and today no rain, just partly sunny and cloudy, tempts good, liking the tempts in the low 80's.

I think that study is correct.  In fact, I, myself, have SADD, or Seasonal Affective Disorder.  Continuous overcast days and feeling shut inside without even being able to open windows makes me depressed. Someone I was once close to raved and raved about Washington state where they had lived for a year but I read about the continuous days of rain there and said, "No way!" If I had the money, I would move to the Southwest probably.  I hate winter!

The State in which I live has been getting some rain but not a constant downpour.  Good for my Lawn and flowers.

We had allot of rain and it messed up allot if peoples gardens this season.
