Your Surveys "Auto Survey" Nuh-uh...
« on: August 22, 2018, 12:57:28 pm »
Clicked on a survey from "Your Surveys" and it immediately opened to a form asking for my name, age, address, phone number, and email address! No preliminaries, no introduction of who they are and what they're conducting a survey about (I never believe those descriptions given, the survey rarely matches), zilch, just asking for personal info!

It had a "cancel" button and I immediately clicked it!

I will give my e-mail address but not my phone number..just feel safer that way and don't want a lot of telemarketers calling me

Thoughtparticles. you did the right thing by canceling that survey. The questions asked were fishy.

When I see that kind of form, I always click cancel on the right hand side corner and it gives me a DQ which means 1 shiny penny  ;D

I'll give my physical address IF I'm being picked as part of an in-home trial/test of a product, but only then. I have given my email address for a few surveys but they were with very reputable companies or entities.

As a starter, yes, they were VERY fishy. Had I been informed who they were and that I was part of a product demo/trial and I was satisfied they were legit, I'd give that info... but not in the manner they wanted it!

Yep, I got a penny from the survey, at least!

I would have done the same exact thing. I would not provide my personal info

:highfive:

And I can top yesterday's experience... today one wanted to record video of me!

These things are getting ridiculous!

And on this one I didn't even get my penny!

Have not come across the survey requiring your personal info like that, but I will keep an eye out for it.

If you've done enough of these types of surveys, you can usually spot the red flags.  I am always somewhat reluctant to give out personal info.  I understand that if you are going to take surveys, you sometimes need to give out personal info, but you have to use your head.  If it sounds "fishy" or pushes your alarm button in any way, you probably shouldn't continue.
