Did You Ever Have a Toy You Only Played with Once?

Somebody else just mentioned "babushka" in another discussion, and that reminded me of the book Babushka's Doll. It was about a lady and her granddaughter Natasha who had a problem with patience. Then, the doll was mentioned, and Natasha's grandmother noted having only played with the doll once, and readers/listeners have found out why when Natasha's grandmother ordered Natasha to play with the doll while Natasha's grandmother went to a store. Whenever the doll was played with, it would come to life with a personality with such high maintenance! From what I clearly remember, I have never only played with a toy once, but when I found out what Furbies were (and are probably still) like, I never wanted any of my own!
