Survey Randomness
« on: August 11, 2018, 06:01:36 pm »
Lately I have noticed more surveys ask a lot of questions that seem to have nothing to do with the main topic of the survey. Is this a new trend or am I just experiencing it because I have qualified for more surveys lately?

I do notice lately some surveys seem to jump from topic to topic.  One minute they're asking about TV then the next minute they're asking about politics.  ::) ::)

Noticed this two but as long as I get thru them I don't have a problem.  But also noticed that I received a lot of IT surveys that I do not qualify for

it's always been that way but haven't noticed if it has  increased or not... I normally just do the surveys and take the credits

I do notice that sometimes some of the questions are a little off topic, but I imagine it is just part of the survey design. It is not too big of an issue for me. Just continue to answer honestly and I imagine everything should be fine.

I think that some of these surveys really are two or three surveys pretending to be one survey.  There may be two or three different clients who bought into what appears to be one survey. That is why some jump from one topic to another that is unrelated. At least, this is my opinion.

I have the same problem with many surveys I try to qualify for. They seem to take forever before they even get to the main topic the survey is about. I guess they do it to make sure you're not a robot or something.

what i find most often is that the topic of the survey have nothing if anything to do with the content.
a completed a survey last week the topic was entertainment and it was all about politics! :rose: :rainbow: :peace:

What an interesting concept.  I have never contemplated that before, but it certainly makes sense.  I've experienced that same bewilderment at trying to understand the "purpose" of the survey as opposed to the actual content. Who knows what's really going on. Some of the questions really seem out of place, and then there's the questions that don't give you a relevant (to your situation) choice to pick, but won't let you continue until you've picked something!!!

Interesting idea regarding the topics of the surveys, for sure there could be errors between the actual content and the name of the survey itself.  Also I noticed that it takes about 20 minutes to -qualify-for a survey but the actual survey part is about half that time XD
