Slow Cooker

What's your favorite thing to make in a slow cooker or crock pot? I recently invested in one and was looking for ideas on recipes I could make.

I don't have a slow cooker but would love one. Two of my favorite meals from slow cookers are buffalo wings and roast (meat, potatoes, carrots, onions).

I like to buy one of those packets of spices for beef stew that McCormick's makes and pour it over cubed beef, carrots, potatoes, onions and celery in a slow cooker and let it go on simmer all day long. Boy, does that ever taste yummy. We never have leftovers from that because the family eats the whole thing in one meal.

My favorite is beef... when I purchase the right cut and put the right spices and broth in it.  I turned to Yummly for the last beef recipe and it was AMAZING.  Good beef is so dang expensive though.  I usually shop the sales ad and pick up a slab of whatever is on sale and plan a crock pot meal around that.  I wish I did it at least once a week... but I always slack.

I actually have a crockpot lasagna recipe that I really like. I don't make it often because it's not super healthy (haha), but it's good. I also make chili in the winter.

My favorite to make in the crockpot is roast beef.  It is simple and delicious.
The night before I want to have the roast beer, I put a frozen roast in the pot, sprinkle a package of dry instant onion soup mix over it, add some water.  Cover it and cook on low.  It will be tender and juicy for the next day's lunch.  I like to make gravy from the liquid in the pot.

I've made pot roast, chili, cheesy hash browns, baked beans, pulled pork for sandwiches. There's a ton of recipes for crockpots.

I love using my slow cooker. It's a plus that is uses less electricity and brings out the flavors in food. I always do online searches for some good recipes.

I have a couple of things that I like to make in the crock pot.  One is a beef roast with carrots and potatoes and the other is barbeque pork.
