Do you give money to panhandlers?
« on: July 30, 2018, 07:08:11 pm »
More and more of them are popping up. I see plenty of store jobs. I wonder if they get more money standing on the street and a person making $8.00 an hour?

I have given money to panhandlers, but not so much anymore. Some panhandlers actually do as much as some people in store jobs. It sounds crazy, but some people would rather stand on a corner begging than get an actual job.

I do sometimes when the Holy Spirit  tells me to. The homeless people are different from panhandlers though.

no I do not give them any money,,,  they usually just go out and buy booze with it.   I also don't like it when they use their children to go after money

No I don't.  My cousin and I were talking about this just yesterday.  A lot of time it's a scam.  My cousin told me she would see this guy with no legs begging that gets picked up in a limo.  Come to find out the man has a lot of money.  That's despicable if he is begging people for money when he has plenty.

Hello! :D :)

I used to but stopped when I realize many of them was using it for alcohol and drugs. I don't want to pay for their addictions. It's just a weird situation in all. :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:

I don't give money to panhandlers even though I've wanted to. I've seen plenty of stories of people using it to get cigarettes or alcohol. I feel it's more useful to give them stuff or food so they can't waste it on drugs, alcohol or cigarettes.

I do depending on the situation at that time.  I don't as often as I use to.  Seems like more and more are popping up everywhere.
Have a wonderful day!

I give to charities, but I also give to people begging on the street, or buy food for someone who asks me.

I don't think it's my job to know what they're going to do with their money when they get it. I will have done the right thing and that's what counts.

I use to give back in the day, but not anymore because some of them are scams. I also don't give because some of them rather ask people for money instead of working so they have the freedom to get up and go when they want.
