Uber or Lyft and also there are grocery shopping and delivery like Instacart.  Those are the only things I can think of off-hand.  My son mows yards and he and his girlfriend clean houses occasionally.  Well good luck to you.  I know one thing I am with you about the tenant thing too many crazies in the world.

Rent a room out

Not sure why this is always people's first suggestion.  Why would you rent out a room in your home to strangers? I don't let strangers in my house. There is NO WAY I would invite a person I did not know in to my home and then go to sleep over night while they rummage thru and steal anything they think I won't immediately notice being gone.  Heck, crazy as people are I would not even rent out tent space in the back yard.

I would suggest a 2nd job if you really wanted to make extra money

That will also help to bring the unemployment rate down even further!   LOL

Google Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez and her thoughts on the nation's unemployment rate for a real 'education' on the subject!
 :confused1:

The "Unemployment RATE" is a joke. And very inaccurate.  First off, people who have been unemployed for a certain amount of time or have exhausted their benefits are no longer counted in the numbers.

And people who work part time 10 hours a week don't really have a job because they are still (if they have kids) living off the system to survive.  I don't consider a part time job that is 10-12 hours a week and min wage a job.  I know the government wants to count this. lol. But people trying to survive know that won't fly.

You want to know why people don't take those type jobs? Because they make more money on welfare or drawing unemployment. WHY would I take a job that pays LESS money than I get sitting at home?

I'm retired and trying to live off SS and have considered trying to get a part-time job at least.  Just not sure I can find one in our little town except unsafe convenience stores, etc.  You're young and I'm sure there's something out there to help you out of your predicament.  Good luck!

What about Walmart or fast food?

You could try supplementing your income by using TaskRabbit it's a website where people pay other people to do small task for them. You could also try being a secret shopper, where you  measure quality of service that you receive.  Also try selling random stuff on eBay.  Good luck.

You could collect recyclables ...  from parks' trashcans on the week-end.
Return them to recycling centers & request they give you the rate per bottle/can instead of by weight.

I see cans/bottles all the time on the ground, first thing in the morning, & have been thinking that is an easy way to collect 5 cents each... with minimal effort.

You better be careful about going to a park and taking trash from their bins.  Or even picking up off the ground and taking home with you.

I don't know about any where else but at least where I live an entire truck load of soda cans will only get you about $10.  Too much effort for that little of an amount of money.

First off... phone sex??? You must have a great voice then lol (Joking)… there are other sites like FC to do the ptc thing. It's not a lot of money but every little bit helps.  Have you tried something like Uber? Its supposed to be a good money maker.

Well, in case my point was missed, Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez is a former Bernie Sanders staffer and a current socialist candidate for U.S. Congress and she recently said that the reason why unemployment rates have been falling under President Trump is because people are being forced to go out and get a second job in order to survive.

So she is basically saying that people who are already employed (therefore are not even a factor in the unemployment rate) and then get a second job are bringing down the unemployment rate by taking on that second job.

(Apparently her math and logical reasoning skills are not quite on par with that of your average sixth grader).

The secret shopper is only available in certain areas.  I have signed up with a couple of the sites and there were NEVER any jobs in my town in over 2 years except for a gig shopping at the local post office.  They send me a package and I mail it to where they tell me to. I cannot open the package or know what is in it.  Yeah, I will do that. haha

The only other thing was at a doughnut shop about an hour from my house and it only paid $7.  I guess it depends on where you live.  And those jobs usually do not pay until a month after you do them.  Some are as long as 3 months.

That is completely foolish.  The dumorats are going to say anything to try to make Trump look bad.

First off the UNEMPLOYMENT rates are based off people who are UNEMPLOYED. So if you are employed and go get a second job then you never counted in the unemployment rate anyway.  People are too stupid.

Another thing they do now is say you have exhausted your benefits then you fall off the charts. YOU are no longer counted in the numbers as "unemployed and looking for work".  It is a way to manipulate the numbers.
I don't see too many people working a full time job and then a part time job as well. I do see people trying to work more than one part time job.

I don't know about any where else but at least in my area people who are drawing unemployment or even welfare make more money on that than if they get a job.  WHY? All that seems to be available is part time and min wage.  Nobody is going to take a job that pays LESS than they make sitting at home.

Uber is good because you can work when you want. If you live in a busy area, you can work nights and weekends and make a decent salary.
