Favorite card games
« on: July 16, 2018, 10:26:47 pm »
For some reason, I started thinking about the pinochle games my mother, the neighbors and my older siblings would have each week during summer. They stopped before I was old enough to join in.

I miss playing spades and euchre with my old running buddies. What's your card game?

I still enjoy games like goldfish and solitaire.  However my favorite card game is hearts. I have very fond memories of summer nights where the aunts  uncles and cousins playing the game. :rose: :rainbow: :peace:

Uno is pretty fun, especially to play with children. My grandkids and I had a ball playing it a few months ago. We also stayed up late to play it, so that was probably part of the appeal. We also played another card game that I wasn't familiar with, but it was fun.

I used to play Pinochle, but wasn't very good. I wish I were clever enough to play bridge. Rummy is about my speed. I can relearn it pretty fast if needed.

I think Uno and Spades are my favorites followed by Hearts, Solitaire and Mille Borns.  :)

I guess my favorite card game would be solitare.  There are so many different ways you can play and I like playing all the different games.

Spades and UNO are my favorite card games.  We used to play Rook all the time at family get-togethers when I was young.  Haven't played Rook in many, many years.
Have a wonderful day!

I'm terrible at card games. I like the kids games like Go Fish and War. Adult card games have too many rules! Lol!

I go with your picks, especially if it's playing with one of my younger grandkids.

I really don't have a favorite it was always just what the kids wanted to play. I enjoyed  playing with them. Of course when they were little we didn't have the computer and only 3 channels on the TV if we were lucky.  So we played a lot of cards and they even learned porker of all kinds from their granddad at an early age.  Which at  times  they even beat him as they got older and he loved it.

I love spades but have not played it in years. I also remember playing progressive rumy, a different type of rumy played with two decks. It was a lot of fun! It has been so long since I played that that I can't even remember all of the rules.
