It's never helped me, but I still see a therapist once a month. I like the lady I see, and we work on my issues -- even though even she admits she hasn't done me very much good. Lol

Glad you’re happy about that, though I think your therapist must be happier with continuous employment from you.

I really hope I can go to therapy someday. I could use some grief counseling since my Mom died in April.

   For some people, therapy simply does not work.
   Make your plans for therapeutic remedies.
   What works...what doesn’t.
   Then, decide what to do next!

Therapy can help some people a great deal.  For one thing, you have to be open to it, follow through on the suggestions, modalities used, and the prescriptions prescribed.  Many people feel better after some time on the meds, quit taking them,  and then slide backwards.  Also, some people have many barriers to getting better and tend to try to keep those barriers in place.  It can sometimes be frightening to not have a crutch anymore.  Indeed, some mental health problems never really go away but the symptoms can be better managed.

Yes, It can help if  you are consistent in going to see a therapist.  Some people need therapist for many reasons.
