Any plans for 4th of July?
« on: July 02, 2018, 06:23:00 am »
We are having a cookout for about 15 people.  I was hoping we could be outside on the patio, but with the temperature going to be in the high 90’s we will be in the house.  I guess some of the guys will be outside as the grilling is done.  At least the men will be downstairs playing pool and we will be in the family room talking.  I hate when you plan something outside and the weather ruins it.  Hope everyone has a great 4th and stay cool!

I will try to make money with FusionCash and the other sites I use. Other than that, nothing is planned.

Hate, hate, accept the things we can not change, respect the things God has placed in our everyday life. He can make things for you good or bad, but whatever it is, give him Respect. Everyday is not going to be sunny when you want it.

Every year they have a large block party in downtown Sandusky with a parade and a lot of local fund raising food vendors; activities for the kids; OSU alumni band in the gazebo; tents for organizations like the local humane society, political party groups, artists and craftsman...
Every year at night the Cedar Point amusement park puts on a fabulous fireworks show on their beach.

This year, I think it might be too hot to go to either of these events.   :( So I am not sure what my plans are going to be.  Maybe I'll just stay indoors in front of the A/C and watch the Nathan's Hot Dog eating contest.

One of us has a problem.  Sorry if I offend you, but I do hate certain things, does not mean I don’t believe in God and I know He is the one who decides when we die (my other post); but I still stand by my statement I hate cancer, and I’m sure most other FC members will agree with me.

No plans except staying in with husband and adult son and trying to keep the cat and dog calm while all the fireworks go off.   It's legal here to shoot off fireworks and everyone in our neighborhood takes advantage.  Goes on all night.  I'm okay with it because we get to watch some really nice fireworks while staying home but it scares our animals.

I plan to continue our yearly tradition of taking the kids to get slushes from Sonic's and then downtown to watch fireworks.

We can see the fireworks from our yard, well not the real low ones.  This is the first year Pennsylvania made it legal to buy fireworks.  There are stands all over and some idiots are shooting them off in their yards all hours.  My one friend said her neighbors were shooting them up until midnight.

Well, probably not much.  That's the problem when there is little family and you grow older.  Maybe I will rent a movie to watch here at home or maybe I will even go see one at the theatre as a treat. I would go out to lunch also but I just went out with friends today so I better watch the money.

I just told hubby last night I think PA made a mistake allowing fireworks, but it was bound to happen. Look at all the taxes the state was losing through the sales when the border people would travel to the next state and bring them back or even order them on line. Since they're now legal, people have been setting them off every night. I'm going to hate the night of the 4th for sure this year.
