None here in Boston Ma. When we would go to my Dads home town in NC I use to love catching them in a jar with holes in the top. I wanted to bring them home to Boston but they never made it :(

Yes we do have lighting bugs here in PA. They start coming out in June and I would say they go on there way sometime by September.

:bunny:   :cat:   :dog:  I do have lighting bugs in where I live.   I love to watch them fly.   Just a soothing evening, to watch them.   These bugs light up and then turn off.   Give's a good evening.  :bunny:   :cat:   :dog:

Honestly, growing up in VA, I only saw lightning bugs once flying around in my backyard.  I don't know if they are dying out or just prefer certain regions to others.

We saw a lot last year but not as many this year.  I grew up in South Carolina and we had tons of them.  We'd catch them and put them in jars to light up our clubhouse lol.

I only see them occasionally here in Florida, and it's never very many at one time.

No we don't see lighten bugs in my area, but I wish we did. The first time I saw a lighten bug was when I went to visit New York and I was 8 years old. I was so amazed, I wish my kids to experience that.
