What are the positive parts of being single?

I had no one to answer to and came and went whenever I wanted too. I traveled quit a bit also. But now the older I get the less I want to go any where.  And of course I lived in an apartment and had  now yard to take care on anything to have to do around the house like I do now.  But I also enjoy being married, but just once in awhile I miss the wonderlust and being by myself  at times. But not a whole lot.

There are advantages to both I am sure.  I am sure people who are single miss things about being married.

I'm newly single but I can see the positives already, for instance, now I can take my time and figure out what I truly want. I can work on my finances more without neglecting my partner. Just feels good dating myself and taking care of myself.

I'm not trying to be a smarta$$ here, but (in my experience anyway) several of the things on this list are true whether you are single or in a relationship. I'll grant that if you are in a controlling or abusive relationship that many of these absolutely apply, but in a loving and respectful relationship I think just about all of these are still present.
