This happened in Florida last month. Wonder what I could've gotten if I complained about my cheese burger being red and barely cooked.

Hello! :D :)

I think that is so ridiculous, they have to invent a limit of sorts on what people can sue on. I guess common sense isn't enough. :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:

A couple of weeks ago my husband and I went out for dinner.  We both ordered the chicken parm.  Mine was great but my husband's was tough.  We kindly brought it to the attention of our server and another one was prepared.  It was fine.

A few months ago I opened a can of cat food for my kitties and the can was about half filled.  There were no leaks, it wasn't broken but this can, even though underweight, got through the system and ended up in my home. I opened up another can from the exact same company, the exact same flavor and compared the two.  I took a picture of both cans and sent the pic to the company.

They kindly sent me a check for the value of the can.  It turns out that I made out pretty good on that deal.  I still had half the food available and I get my pets' food from a large discount company so the price I paid was less than what I was reimbursed.

That's how situations like that should be handled.  No one should ever think about becoming a millionaire over things like this.

I think people should be sued for suing over stupid things.

Not familiar with this case/story but as usual, sounds crazy! $5 Million for a case of "cheese"?

If you can get sued for putting cheese on a burger that you didn't ask for, and get paid, it's totally ludicrous, then I should have sued them for not putting on enough tartar sauce on my fish sandwich, I hate a dry sandwich.

It is crazy.  The sandwich is called a quarter pounder with cheese.  If they really think they should pay less asking them to "hold the cheese" than everyone who asks for no pickles or onions would say the same.  When do to the hassle of a "special order" it should cost more.  I would have a sign this is how it comes you want something different  it is extra.

I'm always amazed at how an accident can turn into such a million dollar reward for some individuals.  Accidents people - yes some can be life or death... or end up costing you in some way shape or form.  I think some sort of compensation is due under sometimes.  But 5M - give me a break.  I just don't understand how people think up these things.
