The prices that solicitors request ($60) to cut my grass seems big to me, I ended up buying a second mower because the first one went out and then the next year they both went out- what a headache!   I ended up getting them both fixed for $60 total, which was a good price.  But it's definitely worth it to pay someone to cut it if you're having problems with your health or mower and can't do it yourself.

I cut my own grass. It's good exercise.

This is precisely what I was going to say. So ditto.

We hire someone.  Don't have the strength to do it myself. :-\

We do our own yard work except in cases of major projects like cutting down trees. It's an awful chore when its 120 degrees but too expensive to hire out.

The hired help came today and they did an EXCELLENT job! Affordable, fast, efficient -- couldn't be happier with the work they did. The same job would've taken me all day to do. Definitely worth the money.

I usually mow the lawn at my place because it would be too expensive to hire someone to do it. I just take my time and do it over several different days because I have a pretty big yard. I like to do all kinds of yardwork including mowing and my hubby loves to cook so I do all the outside stuff and he does all the food shopping and cooking. I am a much better groundskeeper than he is and he is a much better cook than I so it all works out pretty well.

That's understandable.

We hire someone.  Don't have the strength to do it myself. :-\

Just bought a new mower last year.  My hubby cuts the grass.  We had a service doing it the one year but they just didn't seem to do a good job and charged too much.

I would cost over 100 dollars to do just 1/2 of ours so I guess we will do it for a few more years.
