Kids kicked out of surveys

Just a personal rant here - I get that getting kicked out of surveys is a thing that will always happen. But it is ridiculous when you say "remember there are no right or wrong answers" and the survey is being taken by a kid and they answer maybe 2 questions and then get the "oh we are sorry you do not qualify to take this survey".  Really!!!   

The thing that is even more frustrating is when the question being asked are "Which of these tv channels are your favorite".  Do not have a kid start a survey when you are going to kick them out when they do not watch the channel you are wanting them to watch.

I totally agree with that. But the kid one is starting to annoy me.  You are asked preliminary questions.  It tells you to bring the kid to the computer.  You finally get said kid to come to the computer.  The are asked the exact same two questions....

what is your age...
are you male or female...

Oh sorry you do not qualify.  WHAT???

That really is ridiculous!  The other thing that really irks me is when I can tell a survey is looking for particular answers but stress they want honest responses.  So I give them honesty. Then they let me take the entire survey, or almost, and don't credit me.  Some surveys are so obvious that they want you to answer a certain way but because you don't say extremely positive things about the brand, they won't provide credit.  I haven't had a lot of these blatantly biased surveys, but I  know that such results are not valid.

Totally agree!  My daughter is getting to the point that she is refusing to help me when I do get these and it appears that every site I use has these types of surveys

That doesn't just happen to kids, but to Adults also.  It has happened to me many, many times.

Very true, but adults understand, kids (especially younger ones); don’t understand and might think they did something wrong.

Exactly.  If the survey is for a certain tv service and you keep saying you would never purchase it then that screws up the results they want.  Why don't you ask me WHY I would never purchase it.  One was for some cable service and there was a thing on the news where a man recorded the agent cursing him and on and on because she didn't want him to cancel service.

I had that happen to me with my virus protection except I wasn't canceling but needed to know how to turn off the auto renew.  I carried on with him for over half an hour.  I finally told him I would be forwarding the entire conversation to his supervisor.  I do not want to purchase anything else or upsale.  JUST TELL ME HOW TO TURN OFF AUTO RENEW.  He finally did and told me he was following procedure.  I said I understand that but when I tell you I do not want to purchase anything more I just need to know how to turn off auto renew then that needs to be respected.

I know but it makes me more mad when it is a kid.  You call them to come to the computer and they sit down and answer two questions.  The same two you already answered.  What is your age? What is your gender? Oh you don't qualify.  I just told you the exact same thing.

That and it is just the fact that they are doing something else. It is hard enough to get them to do it to start with. The next time they do not want to fool with it. You just answer the 2 questions and get kicked out and I will continue to play my video game.

Sometimes if you say no I will not allow my child to participate it will let you continue the survey. Or if you say the child is not available at the time.

I done one today that ask for the gender and age of the child. I put that.  Okay, you qualify.  Bring said child to computer.

Child plops down.  What is your gender - same thing I just said.
                              What is your age - same thing I just said.

SORRY YOU DO NOT QUALIFY.  Seriously?  Then why ask the child to come to the computer.

That is beyond annoying, you think they could already figure that out.  I don't blame the kids for not wanting to help after that.
