Morgan Freeman Will No Longer Be the Voice of Vancouver Public Transit

Yeah, saw that coming.  The problem is I've been a fan of Morgan Freeman's for years and the thing is anyone who has been knows that by nature he is flirtatious.  He is in no means a Harvey Weinstein (may that guy burn in hell).  Freeman is not trying to degrade anyone nor make anyone feel uncomfortable (though is behavoir is to the contrary).  Honestly I can't see him as the type to force himself in a sexual way onto anyone.  Yes, women feel uncomfortable when a man tries to lift up their skirt.  But his behavior I wouldn't call sexual harassment as in the true definition.  Yes, in this day and age flirtatious behavior is inappropriate and unwanted, but when there is no malice to me it is not the same thing.  It is like the difference between child discipline and child abuse.  There is a line and if it is not drawn then everything becomes the same.  In that case the women who are truly sexually harassed, like those in the Cosby case or Weinstein, are degraded and to me that just isn't right.  Yes, Freeman needs to stop being flirtatious because it is inappropriate, but is being light-heartedly flirtatious and a sexual predictor the same thing?  I say no and someone needs to be big enough to start drawing lines instead of going on a male witch hunt.

I agree with you. I've heard so many stories about how "this person touched my shoulder" or "this person said something dirty". Please.  Tell him (or her) where to go and move on. I think those claims are insulting to people who have ACTUALLY been assaulted. A lot of these women claim they never said anything for fear of losing their jobs. If you'd rather put up with the behavior and let him get away with it over possibly having to find a different job, well then that's your choice. I think it's pretty ridiculous to suddenly start making claims 10, 15, 20 years later.

This #MeToo movement is getting completely out of control. I am not neither confirming or denying the claims against Morgan Freeman. I do not really care for him particularly, except for his role as Lucius Fox in the Christopher Nolan "Dark Knight" trilogy.
