I was in the Army 1976-1979....burns my *bleep* when I see the flag disrespected..... :bad: :(
It didnt bother you a half million US soldiers and countless Vietnamese soldiers died without knowing why?

That was another place, another time...cold war era (don't even know if you were alive then?)
We went to aid an ally to stop communism...yes it should of been handled differently but lesson learned the hard way, and a lot of corruption....
My brother did two tours in 'nam....66/67...don't even go there "friend"
Got nothing to do with overpaid athletes who never served disrespecting the flag to further their "agenda"
I passed my army physical in 1970.Nixons lottery kept me out.I was fortunate.Im sorry your bro was there.Hopefully he came back ok.Lessons learned?Where??In God we trust?Where?Jesus wouldnt disrespect and show attn to himself.Stay in the locker room.

I do not think the NFL players are dissing our flag, it's just kneeling to make their statement of equality.

This is so stupid and I don't agree at all.  What happened to freedom of speech and expression?

It's about time. Of course, the mighty dollar speaks. But, for whatever the reason, the anthem is being respected & that's all that counts.

I agree. They use that platform to draw attn to police brutality etc.And NFL worries about the buck. Then you get the chain reaction from nationalism.....some domino effect.

The Buffalo Springfield band in the 60s sang the song "For what its worth".Excellent line in the song.Nobodys right if everyone is wrong.

It was not about disrespecting the flag.  You take a knee when a player is injured and right now the country is injured. I do not agree with the decision.

They were "taking a knee" to protest against the country aka the flag. You want to protest then fine protest all you want but show some friggin respect when the National Anthem is played.

And the country is not injured.  Things are better right now than they have been in a long time.  Well aside from the pansie snowflakes who are offended and cry about everything and want everything catered to them.

Really?  How to you know what bothered him?  HE was in the Army.  He did not make the choice to get involved in Vietnam.  Neither did any other random person in this country.  You want to know WHY we got involved crack open a history book.  You know them books that explain things that happened in the past.  Of course we can't teach history in the classroom any more because it "offends" the snow flakes.

There are certain ways you are suppose to act when the flag is presented and the anthem is being sung.  Playing on your cell phone and kneeling is not one of them. You want to protest something stupid then find another way to do it.  And blacks have equality.  I am so sick of this.  There have been 3 that is THREE white men shot in my area and not a word was said.  Other than the initial report.  NOBODY cared.  WHY? Because it was a WHITE man that died.

You don't want to get shot by the police then don't break the law. Don't point a gun at them. Don't swing a knife at them. Don't try to hit them with your car.  Oh idk don't be an idiot!

That is supposedly what they were protesting.

I believe a lot of ppl have boycotted watching the NFL, including my husband and I due to this controversy.  That's probably why they have now decided to take this stand instead of keep losing viewers.  Kapernick should have been fired and that would perhaps ended it!  I feel if you don't respect our flag and therefore our Country, you should leave this Country and lose your citizenship.  Doubt most of the ones taking the knee even had a position they supported; just an attention getter.  Disgusting!  Not sure even now we'll go back to watching the games.

And you def should loose all government benefits!  My uncle quit watching it.  I have other family that verbalized they would boycott but then post online they watched the game.  Rolled my eyes plum back in my head. lol

Maybe you should crack open an english book and learn how to read.I never said i knew...i asked Joe a question.Punctuation mark.....?????...learn what it means. And while you are at it crack open the bible and read what Jesus said about using the sword and friendship with the world is enmity with God.James 4:4

After Peter used his sword to attack the high priest’s slave, Jesus commanded Peter: “Return your sword to its place.” Then Jesus stated a principle that guides Christians even today: “All those who take up the sword will perish by the sword.”—Matthew 26:51, 52.

Dont think you can preach the bible and then suck up to the flag......

New International Version
"No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both.Math 6:24

They still have the freedom to kneel if the want. The NFL just has consequences for it now.

Sorry i omitted Joes answer when i asked him about all Vietnam War.......he said....

That was another place, another time...cold war era (don't even know if you were alive then?)
We went to aid an ally to stop communism...yes it should of been handled differently but lesson learned the hard way, and a lot of corruption....

Again CG......go take a reading class....you see things that arent there....you only care what you have to say and most of the time be controversial.

Obviously his answer to my question the deaths bothered him...but he tried to cover it up the best way without making government look like the bad guys......

A million uncalled for deaths is kinda hard to sweep under the rug!!

The pansie snowflakes are afraid to send their children to school for fear its a war zone. The pansie snowflakes are dropping like flys ODing on dope.Countless abortions are killing babies.Animals are abused.People are starving and homeless. The love of the greater number has cooled off.

I dont have time to write a book. This has already been written about these times.
