I know I know....tomorrow morning at 8:20 I am getting my tooth pulled. I am a HUGE chicken, please hope all goes well....Who doesn't mind the dentist no matter what you're having done?

Sending prayers for you that you may be calm and relaxed and that the dentist will do his/her job in a thorough and kind manner since they will know your anxiousness.

Most dentists have all sorts of ways to help people deal with their fears and assuaging the pain of dentists and their procedures. Some of them have nitrous oxide (laughing gas) and some of them have a computer programmed machine that they attach to your finger that relaxes your brain and relieves your anxiety.

I guess you know they have a topical local anesthetic and subsequent injection for pain but they don't help with the fear; only the pain of the procedure.

Your doctor might be able to prescribe something to take before you go to relieve your anxiety. Tell your dentist about your fears and maybe he can help you.

I'm sorry that you're so anxious. That's a terrible, but really common feeling. I hope your dentist is understanding and can help you out in that area.

Thank you so much for that linderlizzie. I don't have insurance so I am paying out of pocket so i'm hoping the Novocain is enough.

You will be in my thoughts and prayers. I hate dentist myself. I have to get nitrous just to get my teeth cleaned.

You are in my prayers as I know going to dentist is never a happy moment.  Make sure they drug you up good.  No pain is best.
