My husband put a bird feeder hanging from a shepherd's crook outside right in front of the livingroom window.  I look up and there's a squirrel sitting on top of the hook.  I swear its beady little eyes were staring right into mine.

Squirrels don't have beady little eyes. They have beautiful, big eyes, and I love them.

Have you ever seen them chase each other around a tree? It is hilarious!

I love watching all the wildlife outside my window. We are getting some beautiful male cardinals right now; they are gorgeous. I get doves, ravens, crows, grackles, wild parakeets, wrens, and squirrels, all sharing the same space all day long.

Now, weird is that my brother lived on a second floor apartment, looked out the window, and there was a squirrel. There must have been a tree nearby so it could get there.

lol.  He was daring you to say anything to him for being on the bird feeder.  I have one that eats out of my feeder.  I swear he is crazy.  There has to be an easier way to get to the food than the way he goes about it.

Mine is to see if i can get a odd bird to show up....  i gave up and  i have humming bird feeders  its cheap just sugar and water !

As for the squirrels  i thought oh how cute,  I found out how cute they were when they invaded my storage unit, and tore up all my stuff and chewed the wires in my car engine causing shorts every where,  they chewed all my pictures up making nests , trashed all my sweaters in crates they chewed threw , pooped and peed in 95% of my stuff , had nuts stashed every where , i cried and still cry from squirrels ... pictures of my mom i'll never replace  GONE, they were the kind of picture you took 40 years ago.  and were in albums !

Ok that is funny. I like squirrels although a lot of people don't seem to - I guess when you have bird feeders they steal the feed. But I can't help but like them they are so darn cute.

It's true, have you ever been wild hog hunting down south, you need to if you have not, very intense on horse back! .. honest i had a horse named Pilgrim he was a very good animal.

I just opened a can of worms for the POOR little pig lovers !!

I recently moved down south to a very rural area surrounded by trees. I put a hummingbird feeder hanging from the soffit right outside my window and I cannot tell you the hours of enjoyment I have gotten just watching them feed. It sounds like a swarm of bees when a bird is out there and they are so tiny!! Now...how the heck do you get the song bird to visit the other feeder? Song birds everywhere and they don't notice the food I put out

I agree. I love squirrels; they are welcome at my feeder anytime, and they do not eat any more of the seed than the birds do. There seems to be enough for everyone.

All the wildlife seem to get along. It's a beautiful thing to watch.
